The Peace Within

The peace within – this is such a difficult term for me to grasp and when you do to even try and live by it. What exactly does it mean – “The Peace within”?

I would have to say that it has to do with the true understanding of yourself. That you understand that your dreams, your desires, your beliefs, your moral values and your goals are in true alignment of each other. And when all of this is aligned, you feel at peace – thus “the Peace within”.

I do believe that to grasp the concept is one of the most difficult things to do. How on earth do we do that? When I started thinking of the “How” the below bible verse crossed my path and it made me think this is actually all we need….TRUST IN GOD!!

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”  John 14:27

To trust in God promotes peace, which then in essences helps you to get into that mind-set that will by the end of the day assist you to get that inner peace and to get that inner peace all you need to do is align your mind, body and your soul.

Once you find your inner peace you can go out into the world and become peacemakers of the world and try to make the world a better place. And if we have faith and trust in GOD, every step we take to make the world a better place, He will be right beside us.

Jesus said, “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called the children of God.” Matthew 5:9

I’m concluding this blog with the below bible verse that puts all of the above together for me:

“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7

May God bless you all.
